Indy Pass Adds Two More Resorts; Edges Toward 70 total

by MJ Tarallo

The Indy Pass has added two additional resorts – one in Utah and one in Iowa. The addition brings the total of Indy Pass resorts to 68 across the US and Canada. Each provides two days of skiing or riding. Indy Pass resorts are independent and uniquely authentic, and many are owned and operated by multi-generational families.

Eagle Point Resort in Beaver, Utah, and Sundown Mountain Resort in Dubuque, Iowa are the latest additions.

Eagle Point is tucked into the Tushar Mountains at 10,000 feet and claims to have the steepest and deepest terrain in southern Utah. At three hours from Las Vegas and Salt Lake City and seven from most areas of Southern California, the resort is a draw for those seeking “challenging fall line terrain or wide groomers and consistently pitcher perfect runs for beginners”, according to a press release issued by the organizers.

Sundown Mountain Resort is situated high above the Mississippi River with views of three states, Sundown draws skiers and riders from its local Dubuque community and the surrounding region from Chicago to St. Louis. It features 21 runs,100% snowmaking coverage, two terrain parks, and two mountain-top lodges overlooking their namesake sunsets on the Iowa plain. It has a 475 foot vertical.
